Thesis-task 2

What is methodology

The methodology literally it’s the science (logos) of the methods, epistemology, study of methods or the method of methods.

When working on a field, we can establish a series of question to ask, people to go and interview, information to be collected, operations to be carried, in order to make choices. This allows to carry more effective study or solving a problem. The methodology is this systematization of the study, regardless of the field of study itself.

Methodologies have been subject to very significant changes over the ages, especially in philosophy and science. It depends on many periods of history, but even civilizations.

Difference between method and methodology:

A method is a rational and organized approach in order to achieve a desired result. Methodology is the science of the method (as its etymology suggests), a discourse on method; a meta-method.

Research is a systematic inquiry to describe, explain, predict and control the observed phenomeon.

Research has too much types. Maybe can use difference ways. For example, questionnaire, full in the blank, explanation, Q&A. There are four major classifications of research designs, these induce observational research, correlational research, true experiments, and quasi-experiments.

The research process is will be step-by-step process of developing a research paper. And the research process itself involves identifying locating, assessing, analyzing, and then developing and expressing your ideas. Secondary sources are usually studies by other researches.

it is clear that you would want to have a clear theoretical position prio to collection of data. You might therefore research the subject and discover a number of definitions of professional associations. You cold the test this definition on a range of people, using a questionnaire, structured interviews or group discussion. You could carefully select a sample of people on the basis of age, occupation etc.

Graphic Design 3 (Part 1) - What is Graphic Design

Task 1: What is Graphic Design

Graphic design is the knowledge of communicating ideas through the use of visual elements. Visual elements may consist of typography, colours, logos, spacing, page layout and etc. Graphic design can be used for different purposes. On one hand it is a great tool for commercial use. It can also be considered an art form, just like painting, sculpture, etc.

The variety of use in graphic design evolves along with the development of technology. With the rise of computers, software, internet, the role of graphic design in commercial use has become more important than ever. In everyday life we see graphic designs everywhere. We see it in posters, billboards, packaging, plastic bag, even on websites, etc. The purposes of graphic design in these settings are usually similar: It is to promote a subject. The ability to produce large quantity of prints in a small amount of time enhances the effectiveness of graphic design as a promotional tool.

Graphic design is also an expression of art form. Basically any prints on a surface can be considered graphic design. A graphic designer can use different methods such as typesetting, ink printing to create a design that expresses his ideas, or simply just something beautiful. These art forms can be mass produced, as well as handmade one of a kind.

Graphic design in itself has no boundaries. However, just like writing an essay, a graphic designer shouldn't plagiarize others works. One can use certain elements from others as inspiration and appropriation, but at the end, everyone should create their own works that reflect who they are as a designer.
