Green comes with Fashion    

Stylish people like wearing fur, eating delicious food, round the world by plane. Environmental friendly people prefer wearing clothes which is made of cotton, eating plain food, riding bicycle to go to work. However, a green trend is started in fashion field and it is getting more and more strong and important. After luxury and naughty, environmental friendly becomes the new target in fashion field. Green life style is start to in relationship with fashion.

Environmental friendly ‘low carbon’ fashion trend

By prediction, a 400g polyester trousers can be wore for approximately 2 years. It spends about 200kW in its “whole life”. This is equal to 47kg carbon dioxide. It is 117 times of its own weight. For natural materials such as cotton, these materials are not made form fossil fuel. Because of that, the natural material consumes less energy and pollutant in the production. According to the research by the British Cambridge University Manufacture Research Centre, a 250g cotton T-shirt spend around 7kg of carbon dioxide in its “life”, which is 28 times of the self weight.

‘Low carbon’ fashion concept

“Low Carbon” fashion means reducing the carbon emission as much as possible in choosing material, design, manufacturing, selling and etc. in the process of making cloths or using low carbon emission skills and buying clothes from the shop with carbon emission trading. The well developed environmental friendly countries, such as America, carbon emission ticket have been introduced in the clothes. When the green trend is getting hot, other brands will also follow this new style – green.

Do it yourself

When the time passes by, some old and non-usable items must be appeared around us. Although they may loss the original function, the raw material has not gone bad. If we treat them as rubbish, they do not only give huge impact to the Earth. It is time for us to think a better way to treat them. DIY can be one of the good ways.

Using simple tools and creativity, you can make a unique DIY product. For example, turning the old shoelaces into cup mat, old book and clothes into a artistic sofa, the old bottle into the planter, etc. a series of DIY products which is belongs to you. Let these products make your life more beautiful and happy.

Learning DIY is less than a minute, does not need a lot of effort, sasily changing the old stuff into new product and ‘stay alive’ again. It also can be a good present. It can pass your mind to the receiver effectively. Each DIY product has its own characteristics. They are unique. DIY let our dream and imagination become true,sharing the creativity and enjoy low carbon life style.

“Do it yourself” do what you need, what you want, do unique product that never appear in the market, create for more prefect DIY product.

Introducing low carbon green vehicle – bicycle

Nowadays, life is getting hurry and the transportation, pollution and excessive consuming energy is getting worse. Bicycle is a green vehicle which is become more popular.

The population is getting high. The space for people to live is getting less. Using the space wisely should be one of the feasible solutions. Foldable bicycle can save the space and do not give any adverse impact to the environment. Using public transport instead of driving private car or even riding bicycle can make us and our city healthier.

The design of green bicycle not just design for cycling, it also comes with a stylish and trendy appearance. Low carbon and green life style is developing continuously green bicycle is going to be the first choice of transportation in the future.

GD3 Part2 fashion upcycle experiment

This is what I did an experiment, I collected some have long been worn, and some for me, useless items, I put them together and want to use these items to make a handbag.

Because the theme is built around environmental, so i choses sacks, It was originally used to put potatoes.

GD3 Part 2 research

It's not that easy to answer the question, "what is fashion?" because it means different things to different people. Fashion is an art. It's a religion. It's a job. It's a peek into a personality. It's playfulness. It's an escape or a disguise. It is a feast for the eyes. But ultimately, fashion is an individual statement of expression for each of us.

French fashion designer Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

It's true. Fashion isn't defined solely by our clothing choices, but is also conveyed through the way we carry ourselves, our personalities and our views of the world.

At its most fundamental (and straight from the dictionary), fashion is simply the prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior.

Fashion Designers

The iconic fashion houses - Prada, Gucci, Chanel - are referred to as haute couture, French for "high sewing." These designers lead the way in creating trend-setting fashion. While some of their designs are outrageous and completely unrealistic when it comes to everyday wear, generally the theme is adapted into versions suitable for wearing.

Media

Fashion trends are often sparked by characters on popular television shows and movies as well as adopted from magazine pages. "Sex and the City," "The Devil Wears Prada," these shows introduced us to new, cutting-edge designs. While you might not be caught dead wearing a Carrie Bradshaw original, you might take ideas inspired from her look and piece together your own creation. 

Celebrities

A prime example of a celebrity-driven fashion trend? UGGs. Until Kate Hudson and Jessica Simpson were spotted wearing them around L.A. several years ago, no one had given any thought to UGG boots. Now they are everywhere.

Musicians

Musicians have always been very influential when it comes to dictating fashion. Rock 'n' roll is fashion. Elvis is an iconic example. In the 1950s, everyone wanted to dress like Elvis. What about the heavy metal hair bands so popular in the 1980s? Axl Rose reinvented the head bandana while Poison, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi set the pace for big, rocker hair.

Just because you don't know if a Prada bag is fall 2007 or spring 2008 doesn't matter (unless you work in the fashion industry, of course). All that matters is that you like it and it's an expression of you. That is fashion.

So, who exactly answers the question "what is fashion"? Who decides what's fashionable and what isn't? What's in or what's out?

White is the most common color of life, is one of the three primary colors.
Everybody likes white. Because, white, represents not only clean, flawless; more representative of holiness, innocence.

For example, why the wedding is white it? Because it represents pure love.

White room, representing the white youth day. Also a way of purity.

Lily is white, they also represent purity discourse.

In the classroom, we try to use a plastic bag wrapped bottle of mineral water, and then coated with spices of your choice, and finally printed out on paper their desired effect.

Chinese students studying in Malaysia

 you hate the today is likely have to be thanks to  the past in future.

To dreams for the future, there is some young people leave their country, left the family, their homes and came to a strange country, strange environment. 

There is no comfortable rooms, is a kitchen without mum's cooking, only a bed and a laptop. 

But this is a good opportunity to exercise their own, handed some good friends here is a lucky thing, learning their university career to accompany each other and encourage each other. 

Encountered some difficulties in their learning process, they will encourage each other not to give up, give each other confidence. 

Sometimes homesick in a foreign country, but the boys do not cry easily, they will find a place where no one, called home to tell his family I'm fine, do not worry about me. 

When they feel boring they will accompany each other, say some jokes to make us happy. 

Of course, when the occasional disagreement would fight, but soon, and well, they can buy a soda drink together in the next minute. 

Their friendship is so strong that they will never fall apart even when they fight. And their have very regular life as long as they can put together arrangements, division of labor, such as brushing some people, some people washing clothes, some people in charge of the cleaning. 

Here they like family, sharing happy moments together, sad to comfort someone, someone to help a difficult time, as long as they are together, what difficulties are not afraid. 

This is the Chinese students studying in Malaysia. For them, after the road is still very long, hope they stick to it do not give up, because you hate the today is likely have to be thanks to  the past in future.
