GD3 Part 2 research

It's not that easy to answer the question, "what is fashion?" because it means different things to different people. Fashion is an art. It's a religion. It's a job. It's a peek into a personality. It's playfulness. It's an escape or a disguise. It is a feast for the eyes. But ultimately, fashion is an individual statement of expression for each of us.

French fashion designer Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

It's true. Fashion isn't defined solely by our clothing choices, but is also conveyed through the way we carry ourselves, our personalities and our views of the world.

At its most fundamental (and straight from the dictionary), fashion is simply the prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior.

Fashion Designers
The iconic fashion houses - Prada, Gucci, Chanel - are referred to as haute couture, French for "high sewing." These designers lead the way in creating trend-setting fashion. While some of their designs are outrageous and completely unrealistic when it comes to everyday wear, generally the theme is adapted into versions suitable for wearing.

Media
Fashion trends are often sparked by characters on popular television shows and movies as well as adopted from magazine pages. "Sex and the City," "The Devil Wears Prada," these shows introduced us to new, cutting-edge designs. While you might not be caught dead wearing a Carrie Bradshaw original, you might take ideas inspired from her look and piece together your own creation.

Celebrities
A prime example of a celebrity-driven fashion trend? UGGs. Until Kate Hudson and Jessica Simpson were spotted wearing them around L.A. several years ago, no one had given any thought to UGG boots. Now they are everywhere.

Musicians
Musicians have always been very influential when it comes to dictating fashion. Rock 'n' roll is fashion. Elvis is an iconic example. In the 1950s, everyone wanted to dress like Elvis. What about the heavy metal hair bands so popular in the 1980s? Axl Rose reinvented the head bandana while Poison, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi set the pace for big, rocker hair.

Just because you don't know if a Prada bag is fall 2007 or spring 2008 doesn't matter (unless you work in the fashion industry, of course). All that matters is that you like it and it's an expression of you. That is fashion.

So, who exactly answers the question "what is fashion"? Who decides what's fashionable and what isn't? What's in or what's out?

Installation Artwork " Purity "

Purity is clean, no stains, no selfishness.
Is a simple and pure, it refused complicated. Thoughts heterogeneous, not pure; motive range is not pure; condition one and one is not pure; requires a further one, is not pure. It haircut, no painting; its big heart, without disguise; it is not diamonds in the rough cut, without carving; It is a naive, no resuscitation. Love is love, nothing to do with the family, wealth, appearance; friendship is friendship, identity, gender, age has nothing; goodwill is goodwill, excluding hold back; hate is hate heart heart, excluding gains and losses. Flowers, often less than a pleasing; thick pen re-color, often less than delightful sketch. Pure, she removed the dendrite, remove outer clothing, remove Magnificence, remove the mask, remove all conceal and cover - Direct heart

But this is a good opportunity to exercise their own, handed some good friends here is a lucky thing, learning their university career to accompany each other and encourage each other.

Encountered some difficulties in their learning process, they will encourage each other not to give up, give each other confidence.

Sometimes homesick in a foreign country, but the boys do not cry easily, they will find a place where no one, called home to tell his family I'm fine, do not worry about me.

When they feel boring they will accompany each other, say some jokes to make us happy.

Of course, when the occasional disagreement would fight, but soon, and well, they can buy a soda drink together in the next minute.

Their friendship is so strong that they will never fall apart even when they fight. And their have very regular life as long as they can put together arrangements, division of labor, such as brushing some people, some people washing clothes, some people in charge of the cleaning.

Here they like family, sharing happy moments together, sad to comfort someone, someone to help a difficult time, as long as they are together, what difficulties are not afraid.

This is the Chinese students studying in Malaysia. For them, after the road is still very long, hope they stick to it do not give up, because you hate the today is likely have to be thanks to  the past in future.

White is my favorite color, to me it represents purity. In this task, I decided to use white colour to highlight its characteristics. I did some experiments, I cut a cardboard box cut it into a framework with plastic wrap and then wrap the entire frame. I think in my last work I will use foam instead of cardboard box, because i want my work have white only. I think inside the box to put a pair of wings, it can be angel also like a holy place.

College assignments and process of studying

Investigation of the Statement in Colour Psychology by Carl Jung

1. Light and colour can influence how people perceive the area around them. Different light sources affect how the colours of walls and other objects are seen.

Only light colored, light generated in the light source. Light emitted by different light sources, the color feel different. In the same object will show different light sources of different colors: white under white light illumination is white, the red light in the white into red, green illumination in white and green. In addition, the intensity and angle of light also affects the color of an object, the object color will fade under bright light, low light-colored objects will become blurred dull, only moderate light intensity in the most visible object color.

In this experiment, I photographed the changes of colour on the wall in different situations; I have chosen to use two different sources of light: home lamp and natural sun light. The colour of wall involved in this experiment is white colour; the colour of wall changes under different light sources below.

Figure 1
Figure 1 is a photograph taken using home lamp, and the colour of wall appears to be orange and yellowish.

Figure 2
Figure 3 is a photograph taken using natural sunlight, the colour of the wall stays its own colour white.

2. Specific hues of colours seen under natural light may vary when seen under the light from an incandescent (tungsten) light bulb: lighter colours may appear to be more orange or "brownish" and darker colours may appear even darker.

To prove this theory, I also provide photographic evidence for this assertion experiment. In this experiment, I plan black and white two objects by using different light shooting, making the contrast. One is the use of home lamp and one is the use of natural sun light.

Figure 3
Figure 3 is a photograph taken using home lamp, the black part to be dark, white part becomes orange.

Figure 4
Figure 4 is a photograph taken using natural sun light.

3. Light and the colour of an object can affect how one perceives its positioning. If light or shadow, or the colour of the object, masks an object's true contour (outline of a figure) it can appear to be shaped differently from reality.

To help to prove this theory, I photographed using 2 different light condition.
Figure 5
Figure 8 is the use of household lights at night in a low light conditions; in this picture, one is very vague.

Figure 6
Figure 9 is taken in enough light is provided to this photo flash state, the object is very clear.

4. Objects under a uniform light source will promote better impression of three-dimensional shape.

Figure 7

Figure 8
When covering the entire perimeter of the light object, subtraction, figure 7 when the light cover to the right of the object, then the shadow of the object will appear in the left. However, figure 8 when the light of an object all over, there will be no shadow from the object. I intend to take photos of boxes of different light sources: the light evenly and so on.

5. The colour of an object may affect whether or not it seems to be in motion.
