Animation proposal

Introduction:

This is my finally year of my Undergraduate course. In this semester my topic is a waste of food. Because I have always wonder if people are making enough effort to not waste food. It is beyond our beliefs, the fact that 1 billion and 3 thousands food are wasted, a sufficient amount to feed 3 times the number of population, our garbage overflow with an visible rubbish. So I will do motion graphic and stop motion about wasting food, its like an advertising video. In this video I will show food waste data, stop motion about food, and motion graphic about tagline.

Objective:

For this animation I want to show people Something you do not know a staggering number about food wasting. Allow people to pay attention to this issue.

Target audience:

 Young people

Businessman

Method:

First draw the data and tagline use illustrator, and take pictures about foods and keep the pictures is connect, and than use photoshop clean these pictures, after use AE to do this animation.

Story

This animation about food waste, there is no fixed storyline. This animation is motion graphic and stop motion, its like an advertising video. In this video I will use motion graphic to show food waste data, tagline, use stop motion to show some has wasted food. I hope this animation I can do this animation will touch people’s hearts, and help this social problem. Allow people to pay attention to this issue.

Waste food in China

Analyze:

In China, about 70% of all waste and 61% of household waste is food scraps. Researchers from China Agricultural University studied data from 2010 to 2012 and found that edible food thrown out by restaurants each year is equivalent to nearly 10% of the country’s annual crop production, or enough to feed 200 million people.

Research:

A newly released study on food waste within the People’s Republic of China finds roughly 19 pounds of every 100 pounds of grain produced are wasted — which ultimately means water resources are being wasted as well.

Although food waste is a problem worldwide, the issue is particularly challenging for China. The nation has 21% of the world’s population, but only 6% of the world’s total water resources.

The Beijing Forestry University researchers, with the help of Sweden’s Stockholm International Water Institute, aimed todocument loss and waste of food to provide a basis for development of sustainability policies.
